Just a thought.

"Feeble, frail, ordinary human beings bare the Imprint of the everlasting God."  --Louie Giglio

Jeremiah 1:5 (MSG): Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you: A prophet to the nations— that’s what I had in mind for you.”

John 15:18-19 (MSG): “If you find the godless world is hating you, remember it got its start hating me. If you lived on the world’s terms, the world would love you as one of its own. But since I picked you to live on God’s terms and no longer on the world’s terms, the world is going to hate you.” Ephesians 2:10 (NIV): "For we areGod's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

Romans 1:6 (NIV): "And you also are among those Gentiles who are called to belong to Jesus."

Psalms 139 (NIV): "O LORD, you have searched me and you know me2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways4 Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD. 5 You hem me in--behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. 7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," 12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. 13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, 16 your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. 17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! 18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you.19 If only you would slay the wicked, O God! Away from me, you bloodthirsty men! 20 They speak of you with evil intent; your adversaries misuse your name. 21 Do I not hate those who hate you, O LORD, and abhor those who rise up against you? 22 I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them my enemies. 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."
Genesis 1:27 (NIV): "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."

It's  such a familiar yet underemphasized concept sometimes -- God had plans for us before we were even created in His image. But it's just so cool when you realize the gravity of that very statement. In verse 13 of Psams 139, David writes that God KNIT him together. He could have snapped His fingers and called us into existence, but guys, He didn't. Everything about us has passed through The Maker's hand -- stitch by stitch, loop by loop, we were delicately and carefully planned out and crafted by God. Our lives aren't the product of an impersonal evolution, but the result of a loving Father, who planned our creation before the foundations of the world. You are a masterpiece created by and in the image of The Great I Am .

Our very beings were created in likeness to God's image so that we could become more like Christ in our walk with Him -- that's such a wonderful opportunity of service we've been graced with. I just find it amazing that out of the entire realm of possibilities, God picked me to be one of His Own before the earth was even created, that we are chosen. That He knew me then, knewwho I was, knew how I would defy Him, knew how I would sin, and yet He still chose me to be with Him and to be His Child. It's just incredible how much love and mercy He shows us, even in a fallen world. I can't even express it.
